Master Class occurs annually in the winter. Each year, the KTA invites an accomplished and respected professional to teach a master class for chosen students from each teacher’s studio. Students perform selected repertoire from memory in a recital setting, and receive valuable feedback from the master teacher. All students and teachers benefit from the different perspective a master teacher provides, delving deeper into the music and learning new approaches that may be incorporated into other repertoire. Past Master Teachers have included professors from UC/Cincinnati College Conservatory of Music and local/regional composers.
This year we will be welcoming Richard Van Dyke as our master teacher. Students are busy preparing their pieces to perform for him on Saturday, January 28, 2020 from 1pm-4pm at Willis Music, Kenwood.
Teachers, please have your participating student attend for at least their half of the master class. Thank you to Kenwood Willis Music for once again hosting our event.
